Another week down

Four weeks to go! I am finished with this time consuming unpaid job December 12. I did have my students make very successful big mall pretzels. They said they were the best they ever had, but I had no camera. I am going to make them sometime soon so you can see a picture. They were white flour, but it was organic. I'll get the recipe up at that time to. I am now preparing to give trimester tests - the big final exam! I have to create my own and never having had experience with this before ... time consuming!

We also made our own mini pizza's from scratch. I like to add sauerkraut to my veggie pizza in place of cheese. I like the flavor it adds. Thanksgiving is coming soon, I really look forward to the break. I have a very large bakehouse order to fill to be delivered on December 8th. I hope that I am not being overly ambitious to think that I can accomplish the order, but the money right before Christmas will be nice especially after giving up all paid work for the past summer through this experience.

This week was hard for us with pup gone and we sure do miss her smiling happy face when we come home, but we're dealing with it. I have an appointment at the vet next Saturday to have Sophie's babies in for shots. Two kittens should be leaving to their furever homes after that appointment. Honestly with pup gone, these kittens sure do fill an empty space.

Dori, I am so glad to hear you're doing well. I was thinking about you just today as a matter of fact because I'll be picking up my bulk order and I got A LOT (kind of no choice) of white wheat so I'll definitely be doing a lot of experimenting. Can't wait!

Dori - I am so excited for the pretzel recipe as I love them! I'm not so good at making them, so if the directions are detailed, that always helps :) Yay!!

Glad to hear things are going well, your class is successful and coming to an end, and you're coping with the loss of Pup. That is so much to deal with right now!

On a food note, I love sauerkraut but have never thought of using it on pizza- thank you for the idea!

Nice to hear things are going OK in class.

Never thought of putting sauerkraut on a pizza. I always feel it goes well with mashed potatoes and a veggie sausage. Really must experiment with it now I have found a decent supplier.

Glad the kittens are around to comfort you.

At the risk of sounding like an echo: "Sauerkraut on pizza?!" I have never heard of sucha thing. Hmm.

Hang in there Dori, it's not too long before you'll be free(er).

Oh Dori! I am so, so sad to hear about Pup. I don't know what I will do when it's Simon's time. Be a basket-case I'm afraid. At least you've been left with some wonderful memories.
Seems like all the bloggers are incredibly busy lately and you're no exception. Can't wait for the pretzel recipe and photos.

I've been missing you and thinking about you. I'm glad to hear things are going well--I know it's been a tough week...

It really does sound like your class has been going well--even if it's kept you extremely busy! I think it's great that you made those big mall pretzels--I've been contemplating looking for a recipe, but maybe I'll just wait for you to post yours! :)

Take care!
